TAKE BACK THE NIGHT
Barkha Bajaj’s passion and dream has been to build social awareness against sexual harassment and gender based abuse. To that end AKS organized and conducted the first ‘Take Back the Night in April 2009’ – with an Awareness Walk on MG Road to spread awareness about the perils of Sexual Abuse and Harassment. In 2010 she organized a panel discussion with prominent personalities of Pune on ‘Stalking and Sexual Harassment’. The 2011, Take Back the Night saw her conducting another panel discussion to talk about ‘Childhood Sexual Abuse’ thus starting a mutually supportive relationship with a well known NGO called “Childline” which works for supporting children who have been victims of sexual abuse.
